Initially
the Guguletu Reformed Presbyterian Church was part of the
Tiyo Soga Presbyterian
Church in Langa. In 1976 the church building was erected.
Many people in the community confess that they
never realised it was meant to be a church. They saw it as
a community hall, mainly because it was the centre for the
struggle against apartheid in Guguletu.
